Our philosophy

We make sure all of our clients have perfect form for each exercise.

 

We put together a unique work-out routine for each clients’ specific needs. Clients are able to schedule sessions at their most convenient time, and since our clients are trained individually they will not need to worry about competition with other clients. We make sure all of our clients have perfect form for each exercise in order to prevent injuries, increase strength, and improve current fitness level.

At Total Form Fitness we believe our trainers act as a team. If one of our trainers happens to be sick on one day, another trainer will work with the clients of the sick trainer. In addition, there is no risk in coming to Total Form Fitness for your first session.  The first session is a free and it is an easy way for anyone to check out our gym.  During the first session we do our best to assess your current fitness level.  We also wish to help you better understand how Total Form Fitness Operates and how we can help you accomplish any of your fitness and Post Rehab goals.

Getting Started

Four phase Approach

1

Phase 1:

Building a Base

Our trainers will indentify clients' weaknesses, and these areas will be improved by increasing clients’ flexibility, strength, and endurance.

Phase 2:

Develop Strength and Condition

We will add to the base that was established in Phase 1. In this stage, our trainers will add resistance and emphasize progression to elevate clients' overall fitness level.

Phase 3:

Range of Motion (R.O.M.)

Clients will be pushed to workout out harder than ever before. Work-outs will combine phases 1 and 2 to maximize our clients’ strength, flexibility, and reduce clients' body composition (body fat). Clients will notice a decrease in their recovery time, an increase in their range of motion, and an increase in their performance.

Phase 4:

Elite Training

Clients, in this phase, are physically strong High School, Collegiate, and Professional athletes. Our trainers develop sports specific workouts to help these clients maintain their high level of fitness. These workouts stimulate fast twitch fibers for athletes who seek power and explosiveness. Slow twitch muscles are also triggered for our high level endurance athletes.

Leo Lopes

Leo founded Total Form Fitness in 2007. As the owner of the gym, Leo oversees the gym and works as a trainer. He has 18 years of experience as a trainer and has trained people of all ranges including high school and collegiate athletes.

Douglas Zani

Douglas joined Total Form Fitness in 2009. Doug moved when he was ten years-old to America from Brazil. In America, Doug excelled at soccer. He made his high school varsity team as a 7th grader and in 2006 Doug led Mount Vernon Soccer to their first winning season in ten years.

Cris P

Cris joined Total Form Fitness in 2021.Cris moved when he was five years old to New York from Dominican Republic. He has played sports all his life, including soccer, wrestling & lacrosse. He was on the varsity teams for all three sports in high school. Soon after graduating from White Plains High School, Cris went on to study and play lacrosse at the division 2 & 3 collegiate level.

Willian Silva

Joined Total Form Fitness in 2020, is from  Poços de Caldas, MG, Brazil, graduated in Chemical Engineering by UNIFAE in Sao Paulo, Brazil.  He is AFFA certified in personal training. His passion for fitness began through his love of sports where he played soccer, volleyball and basketball for the school Varsity team.

João Jovem

Joined Total Form Fitness in 2018 João discovered his passion for fitness at the age of 9 when he was first introduced to the game of volleyball. His focus and dedication led him to join the Brazilian National Youth Volleyball League at only 14 years old as a setter.

Chris V

Chris joined Total Form Fitness in 2019. Growing up close by in Westchester county, Chris grew up playing lacrosse from a young age and picked up football in high school where he graduated from Eastchester High in 2016. Straight out of high school, Chris knew that he wanted to be a personal trainer and had his eyes set on helping people reach their fitness potential.
